Retired Official of the Italian Agency for Military Defense (S.I.S.M.I.)
Confirms Detections of Synergy between Three Different Forms of Extremism
"RED ALERT FOR INFILTRATIONS"
"Italy is Also a Target for Those who identify Evil
With 'The Bush-Blair-Berlusconi Axis'"
by Dimitri Buffa
ROME: Massimo Pizza is an Italian Military Police (Carabinieri) General, and a
retired high ranking official of Italian Military Intelligence from the time it
was under the leadership of Admiral Fulvio Martini. Together with his colleague
Colonel Antonio d'Andrea, Pizza today is the United Nations inspector who works
together with Operation Enduring Freedom headquarters, based in Tampa, Florida,
to monitor al-Qaida infiltration of Europe. Pizza agreed to answer some
questions regarding the contents of the Capua Dossier, some of which were cited
yesterday by "Libero".
PIZZA: "The Capua Dossier contains detailed and reliable information which has
been brought to the attention of intelligence experts. It
reveals an alarming synergy between three forms of extremism with very different
ideological origins, which all share a violent rejection of the values on which
Western democracy is based. Masterminds of international terror do not care
whether candidates for violent militancy are ideologically either Marxist,
neo-Nazi or Wahhabi. That is not so relevant to them. What matters is that
these candidates are sincerely anti-Western, anti-American and anti-democratic
as a matter of ideological principle. They must support attempts to destroy
peaceful co-existence between people of different backgrounds, ethnic groups and
religions based on unconventional strategies including suicide murder. It would
be naive to conclude that the information revealed in the Capua Dossier is a
surprise to international intelligence circles, or that such information only
reaches Italy from Israel".
BUFFA: Do you mean that the information coming from the group of Middle East
intelligence experts in contact with the Institute for Counter Terrorism is
confirmed by other sources?
PIZZA: "What alarmed Israeli intelligence is also known to intelligence agencies
of N.A.T.O. member nations. Experts are not ignoring connections between Youssef Nada,
Gholeb Himmat and Baha Eldin Ghrewati, or the names of Roberto Piccardo, Claudio Mutti,
Miguel Guillermo Martinez-Ball, Enrico Galoppini, Susanne Scheidt, or the role of
Al Jazirah.it and
Al-Awda Italy. The deadlock in the moderate left-wing establishment gives
room for maneuver in the power structure of the anti-globalist movement. The
opportunity to radicalize the conflict attracts those who have already attacked
New York, Bali, and recently Moscow. Within the European Union,
but in contrast to German and French officials, President Berlusconi has shown
that Italy is united with the United States and United Kingdom in his
unconditional support for the anti-terrorist alliance. Together with Israeli
Prime Minister Sharon, Berlusconi immediately congratulated President of the
Russian Federation Putin for his determination in fighting the Chechen branch of
al-Qaida's terrorists".
BUFFA: Does this mean that our country is in danger?
PIZZA: "It is to be expected that Wahhabi fundamentalists now want Italy to pay
a price, especially after the Genoa [G-8 Nations meeting] riots showed that the
position of an [Italian] Interior Affairs Minister is not unassailable [former
Italian Interior Affairs Minister Scajola was forced to resign after the Genoa
G-8 Nations meeting riots]. This is one of the reasons why the United States
Defense Intelligence Agency
recently asked [Italian] Minister of Defense Antonio Martino to
raise the level of alert for possible terror attacks in Italy from moderate to
serious".
BUFFA: Are warnings similar to those reaching the Italian government from the
United States also coming from Israel?
PIZZA: "Italy is on the list of possible terror targets. Anti-globalist movement
hardliners in Florence openly state that they will mobilize against the presence
of N.A.T.O. military bases in Italy. According to their radical ideology,
N.A.T.O. bases are excellent symbols of what already they call "the
Bush-Blair-Berlusconi Axis of Evil". Years before September 11, Russian
intelligence revealed many elements of al-Qaida's strategy. Unfortunately, the
revelations of Russian intelligence were not taken seriously. In the case of
Chechnya, the Saudi-Wahhabi plan was to transform groups
of Chechen smugglers into hostage takers and suicide murderers".
BUFFA: And in Italy?
PIZZA: "In Italy Wahhabi extremists act through the Muslim Brotherhood in the
fields of financial investment and import-export. They are building a network
which works to control nationwide system of supplying drinking water. This is
the sensitive point about which international intelligence experts are alerting
their Italian colleagues".

U.S. Intelligence Says: "Italy is a Possible Target"
ITALIAN DEFENSE MINISTER MARTINO CONFIRMS THE ALARM
FLORENCE: "Italy is a possible terrorist target". This is the alarm sounded by
Italian Defense Minister Antonio Martino, confirming warnings given by the
United States Defense Intelligence Agency.
These warnings are so strong that Defense Minister Martino has upgraded the
level of anti-terror alert in Italy from moderate to serious. Martino explained
his decision on the national T.V. talk-show "Porta a porta". "That decision",
said Martino about upgrading the level of alert, "is not coming from the
bureaucracy. It is based on concrete evidence, solid information and reliable
sources". Some of our concerns are related to a N.A.T.O. military base near
Florence, but there is more to this than that", the Minister concluded.
Anti-globalist movement leaders have already announced that the first Social
Forum [the name given to periodic European conventions of the anti-globalist
worldwide alliance] demonstration will be held in front of the N.A.T.O. base at
Camp Darby in Tuscany. However, Pisa Police Department Commander Paolo Padoin
is minimizing the seriousness of the situation. At the end of his District
Briefing on Public Security, Padoin declared: "For the time being, we do not
believe that rioters or people who want to promote violence have infiltrated the
militants who on November 6th will demonstrate in front of the [N.A.T.O.] base
at Camp Darby".
Protests against hated U.S. and N.A.T.O. bases has been promoted by several
movements as the main item on their agenda for the opening day of the European
Social Forum in Florence. The Pisa Police Department Commander nevertheless
says that the situation is under control: "We expect about 5,000
demonstrators. Police and military personal at the base are prepared to face
emergency situations".
We hope so. In any case, Padoin added, "As soon as we know the exact number of
participants, we will decide on whether or not it is necessary to ask for
reinforcements".

An Intelligence Report Reveals Infiltrations of Extreme Islamists and Neo-Nazis
within the Social Forum
Several Days Before the Anti-Globalist Forum in Florence New and Alarming Plans
are Unveiled
ANTI-GLOBALIST MILITANTS: ENLISTED FOR A HOLY WAR
A New Connection between Wahhabis, Nazis and Communists, Based on their Shared
Hatred for America
A Fundamentalist Summit Has Already Taken Place in The Capital of Tuscany
by Dimitri Buffa
ROME: Right-wing extremists, radical leftists and Wahhabi fanatics are uniting
on the basis of their shared hatred for capitalism and Western democracy. It is
the 2002 version of the "union of extreme opposites". We could see these groups
active in Florence in alliance with anti-globalist militants.
Some of these groups want to depose the Agnoletto-Casarini anti-globalist power
holders and replace them with more extremist power holders. [Italian] Interior
Minister Giuseppe Pisanu appears to be extremely worried about these
developments due to the Capua Dossier, a document prepared by Middle East
terrorism experts in contact with the Institute for Counter Terrorism (I.C.T.)
at the Interdisciplinary Center in Herzliya, Israel. This group of Middle East
terrorism experts are from Israel, Europe and other parts of the world.
The Capua Dossier claims that before November 9 leading
representatives from the emerging alliance of extreme Nazis, Communists and
radical Islamists met to plan initiatives which would enable them to transform
the Florence convention [of the Social Forum -- the name given to periodic
European conventions of the anti-globalist worldwide alliance] into a platform
to exhibit the most savage anti-American and anti-Israeli feelings. Promoting
Jew-hatred appears to be one of the main goals of the Nazi-Communist-Wahhabi
alliance.
Italy's civil and military intelligence joint commission (C.E.S.I.S.) has
already dealt with a tactical anti-American alliance between neo-Nazis and
Communists, but the involvement of radical Islamists is
completely new to them. We may very well see in Florence a replay of Rome's
anti-Jewish demonstrations, where anti-globalist youngsters marched dressed up
as suicide murderers while they shouted "Intifada until victory".
This discovery was made possible by the carelessness of some participants in the
Al-Awda-Italia@yahoogroups.com
mailng list. Hundreds of messages voicing the
most extreme anti-American feelings, combined with open anti-Jewish propaganda
promoting the mass murder of Jews and plans for "intervention in Florence",
convinced intelligence experts that Al-Awda Italy included potentially
dangerous individuals.
When the Al-Awda Italy email list suddenly disappeared from the Internet,
Western intelligence agency officials became extremely concerned. They
discovered that al-Awda Italy is the group in Europe which coordinates relations
between anti-globalist militants, social centers, extreme Communists and the
Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine headed by George Habash.
Al-Awda Italy is jointly run by right-wing extremist Miguel Guillermo Martinez-Ball and
anti-Zionist activist Susanne Scheidt. While Scheidt is a former militant from
extreme German Marxist groups, Martinez has a past record of neo-Nazi
militancy. Some years ago, Martinez was interviewed by the leading Catholic
weekly magazine "Famiglia Cristiana" (the Christian Family), where he gave an
account of his career as trainer of a pro-Pinochet South American militia. The Famiglia Cristiana article was entitled
"My Little Nazi Gang".
Several days ago, Martinez left Marseilles (where he works for the left wing
press office of the Center for International Support of the Intifada) to travel
to Florence to meet Giovanni Scuderi, Monica Martenghi, Giovanni Del Sole and
Dario
Granito, leading members of the Italian Marxist-Leninist Party (P.M.L.I. --
publisher of "The Bolshevik" magazine, who are linked to the Peruvian group "Sendero
Luminoso" and to Subcomandante Marcos of Mexico).
Dario Granito (from South Tirol, in charge of P.M.L.I.'s
foreign office) is well known for his sympathy with extremist Islamism.
He annually visits Teheran for official celebrations of
the Khomeini revolution. The "Teheran Times" once published a long interview
with Granito, together with his photo, entitled "An Italian Leftist Intellectual
Who Praises the Popular and Anti-Imperialist Nature of the Iranian Revolution".
Another person whose name frequently appears in email messages monitored by
intelligence sources is Roberto Hamza Piccardo, Secretary of the U.C.O.I.I.
[Italian front organization for the "Muslim brotherhood",
Italian sister organization of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (C.A.I.R.),
a Saudi supported Wahhabi front group in the United States]. Piccardo, a former
militant for "Autonomia Operaia" (a Marxist guerrilla group active in Italy
during the 1970's), has repeatedly voiced his organization's enthusiastic
support for suicide murder.
Some samples of Piccardo's writings:
"The martyrdom operations that the Palestinians perform in the Occupied
Territories to get rid of their oppressors are the highest form of Jihad. Dying
in such operations is considered the holiest example of martyrdom. Nobody can
say that resistance by all possible means against the Occupation is
illegitimate. Another mistake is confusing 'martyrdom operations' with
'suicide', since one who commits suicide does so out of despair, while the
volunteer for martyrdom operations is a hero who sacrifices himself in service
of God to defend himself, his motherland, his community, his dignity, his honor,
his religion and his holy places".
These "gentlemen" now organize private meetings, first in Imperia and then in
Florence, in safe houses provided by members of al-Awda and P.M.L.I. [Italy's
Marxist-Leninist party]. The goal of these meetings is to change the Florence
anti-globalist forum into a massive pro-Intifada/anti-Israel demonstration, and
to replace the current anti-globalist leadership with a new one which considers
the "old distinction" between Fascists and Communists to be obsolete, and which
will gladly join forces with any group united by hatred of "American and Israeli
imperialism".
Al-Awda and P.M.L.I. want to work together to destroy Western democracy,
regardless of their different ideological backgrounds. Wahhabi radicals hope to
coordinate such efforts behind the scenes.
When questioned about these developments, Sheikh Professor Abdul Hadi Palazzi,
Secretary-General of the Italian Muslim Association (A.M.I.), the only Italian
Islamic organization which is not anti-American, stated:
"It is amazing that old-fashioned Marxists, anti-Jewish neo-Nazis advocating
anti-Jewish genocide and Wahhabi fundamentalists are uniting on the basis of
shared Jew-hatred, hatred of America and hatred of pluralistic democracy. This
development is something new, not seen before, not even during the riots in
Genoa".
We also hope not to see it during the anti-globalist assembly in Florence.

HOMEOPATHIC FUNDAMENTALISM
A Portrait of Baha Eldin Ghrewati, the Radical
Businessman Who Wants to Control the Water We Drink
Who is the Boss of the Muslim Brotherhood in Italy? Behind him
Ahmad al-Beick and Hisham Qudsi
by Dimitri Buffa
ROME: A fanatic banker who imports hydraulic and irrigation machinery from the
Middle East to Italy is systematically buying stock in corporations whose
investments are related to Italy's national drinking water system. Syrian
national Baha Eldin Ghrewati, leader of Italy's Muslim Brotherhood, lives in
Laigueglia, Savona county, and is
a member of the Professional Order of Physicians. Ghrewati is registered as
"needle-therapist, psychotherapist and homeopath", but never once worked as a
doctor during the thirty years he has lived in Italy.
Ghrewati controls two Islamic centers in Milan, one in Segrate and the other on
Padova Street. Ghrewati also owns a "homeopathic medical center" on Ronchi
Street. Ghrewati has two other bases in Imperia and Sanremo as well. Many
other Ghrewati bases are scattered throughout all of Italy, including two in
Rome, on Latina Street and Taranto Avenue. Although most of Ghrewati's bases
are theoretically registered as "medical centers", not even one patient is
treated at any of them. All of Ghrewati's centers are used exclusively for
closed door meetings by members of the Muslim Brotherhood.
Ghrewati's fellow Syrian national, Mujahid Badaoui, a Syrian businessman who
serves as President of the Islamic Center of Sesto San Giovanni, located in
metropolitan Milan, says of Ghrewati:
"Before that man [Ghrewati] was exiled from our country, in Syria his nickname
was 'al-tabib', which in Arabic has a double meaning of both 'doctor' and
'expert in poisons'. Apart from the usual oath of fidelity required from all
new members of the Muslim Brotherhood, he [Ghrewati] required all his followers
to take an additional special oath of "medical loyalty". They swear that
throughout their entire life they will never see a physician other than their
master [Ghrewati] and will only take drugs and medicines prescribed by him".
In their recently published book entitled, "Islam, Italy: Who Are the Muslims
Who Live Among Us and What Do They Think", authors Magdi Allam and
Roberto Gritti reveal that the Syrian physician Mohammad Nour Dachan, President of the
U.C.O.I.I., is only a figure-head. The real mastermind behind the Muslim
Brotherhood in Italy is another person. Authors Allam and Gritti know that the
real mastermind is Ghrewati, but refuse to reveal his identity. Allam and
Gritti write, "He [Ghrewati] prefers to maintain his anonymity for fear of
possible reprisals against relatives living in his country of origin [Syria]".
One might add that the desire for anonymity of this fundamentalist businessman [Ghrewati]
who lives in our country [Italy] is also related to his intimate personal
connections with several other Arab friends and
colleagues, such as the Egyptian Youssef Nada, Osama Bin Laden's banker in Lugano and head of Nada Management Trust in Switzerland, and
Syrian financier Hasan Tubba'i, director of Bank Al Taqwa in the Bahama islands. Ghrewati
has a past history of frequent business trips to the Sudan during the
period when Sudan was the main logistical support center for al-Qaida.
