Bayanu-l-Haqq fi raddi-l-Wahhabiyah

Al-hamdu Lillah Who distinguishes al-Haqq from batil and differentiates between hudah and dalalah.

As for those Wahhabi-Salafi bid'ah holders who refute to accept a hukm agreed by jumhur ahli-l-fiqh and say, "Tawassul by mentioning the Prophet Muhammad, sall-Allahu 'alayhi wa sallam, in du'ah is bid'ah", and "Tawassul of deceased Muslims is shirk", their argument is refuted by uncontestable proofs from Sunnatu-l-mutahharah.

Anas ibn Malik, radi Allahu 'anh, says, and is declared sahih by Imam at-Tirmidhi and Imam al-Bayhaqi in their Collections, by Imam at-Tabarani in al-Kabir, and by Imam Ibn Hibban in al-Hakam:

"While burying his aunt Fatimah Bint Asad, radi Allahu 'anha, Rasul-Ullah, sall-Allahu 'alayhi wa sallam, said: 'Allahumma, ghfir li-ummi... wassi' alaiha qabraha…bi-haqqi nabiyyiKa Muhammad, nabiyyu-r-Rahmah, wa bi-haqqi-l-anbiya'i wa-l-mursalin min qablih'."

Imam al-Hujjah al-Ghazali quotes in Ihya' the hadith sahih narrated by Imam Ibn Majah and declared strong by Imam Ibn Hajar, according to which Anas Ibn Malik, radi Allahu 'anh, reports the Messenger of Allah, sall-Allahu 'alayhi wa sallam, making du'ah by saying, "Allahumma, inni asaluKa bi-haqqi-s-sa'ilina ilayK." This du'ah is also quoted as sahih by Imam Ibn Maja and Imam Abu Naim, and is authenticated by Imam Suyuti in Jami'u-l-Kabir.

The definitive argument is in the hadith authenticated by Imam at-Tabarani and Imam al-Bayhaqi, according to which 'Uthman Ibn al-Hunayf, grandson of Hunayf Ibn Sahl al-Hunayf, radi Allahu 'anhuma, says: "A visitor came in Medina, but was unable to meet the Khalifah 'Uthman Ibn 'Affan. He asked me: 'What is your suggestion for my difficulty?' He answered: 'Repeat the du'ah that was taught by Rasul-Ullah (sall-Allahu 'alayhi wa sallam): "Allahumma, inni asaluKa wa atawajadu ilaiK bi-NabiyyiKa Muhammad, Nabiyyu-r-rahmah. Ya-Muhammad, inni tawajaktu bika ila Rabbi li-yaqda adha wa adha…".' "

Sadaqah Rasul-Ullah, sall-Allahu 'alayhi wa sallam.
